Welcome to The Stables Nursery in Chelmsford!  The nursery is privately owned and managed by Susan Mann and Avis Richardson. When they established the nursery in 1993 their aim was to provide an environment that was warm, safe, well-resourced and stimulating - an environment that they would want for their own children and now grandchildren.

 

The nursery operates 5 rooms for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.  Each room creates a secure environment where, through play and exploration, children can grow in confidence, develop to their full potential and above all thoroughly enjoy their time at The Stables Nursery. Their happiness is paramount! The nursery also caters for children up to the age of 10 years during the school holidays as part of The Stables Nursery Holiday Club.

 

Our most valuable resource is our large team of dedicated staff who implement the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’, the framework which sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. Our team oversees the development of each and every child at the nursery and has vast experience of meeting the individual requirements of children with additional needs (please refer to our Local Offer).

 

We take full advantage of our large and secure outdoor play area and access to the nearby Galleywood Common. The children enjoy exploring the natural environment as often as possible, regularly using the common for activities such as nature walks, den building and weather exploration.
